Dunster Castle Seige and Surrender Tours

An insightful experience of how sieges were carried out during the Civil War, plus demonstrations of life of a solider during these hard times of English history.

An exhibition of glove-related art - garments, hangings, sculptures, animatronics and writings all on the theme of gloves and their symbolism in history, art, literature and romance.

A South West Textiles Group Touring Exhibition running from 17 July to 11 September at the Somerset Rural Life Museum.

Christmas Craft Fair
at The Walled Gardens of Cannington

Come and have a look at the Christmas Craft Fair with hand-made gifts, Christmas wreaths and Cannington-grown poinsettias. Chocolate Santa hunt and children's workshops. Floristry exhibition. Delicious soups and warm mince pies in the tea rooms.

Traditional Fair dating back to 1249 and has been held on the Fairfield, West Street since 1404. Now with one of the largest funfairs in the south west with many new and exciting rides plus many stalls on West Street Market.

Exmoor Food Festival

A diverse selection of foodie events set in the stunning scenerey of Exmoor.

Local food, wine and beer direct from the producers or enjoyed in one of the many restaurants taking part in the event.

Look out for some unusual events for 2010 -
perhaps a Landrover safari to see the Red Deer and Exmoor ponies, followed by a delicious homemade lunch or cream tea
or breakfast at Wheddon Cross before walking to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, and partake of the stunning views across the moor and the channel to Wales.
