John Yeo Stained Glass, Bowlish

John was born in Newton St Loe, Somerset and educated at Kingswood School, Bath and Bulmershe College, Reading. He works from his studio in the hamlet of Bowlish, between Wells and Shepton Mallet.

Creating principally to commission, his work encompasses a range of ecclesiastical and domestic styles from traditionally painted pieces, through Victorian replica windows to contemporary commissions and leaded lights.

The Millennium Window in Shepton Mallet Church, the East Window of Yeovilton Church, the Nativity Window in St Mary's, Shirehampton and the chapel windows at R.A.F. Fairford are all examples of his work. He recently completed a window for Georgetown University, Washington DC.

John installs his own work and undertakes the renovation, restoration and repair of damaged glass.

All ecclesiastical and domestic commissions, repairs and restoration work are individually quoted for.

Opening Dates/Times

The studio is normally open during regular working hours. However, telephoning in advance is recommended to avoid visiting when the premises are closed.

Additional Information

Families	The workshop and glass studio are working environments not especially appropriate for young children.
Special Needs	Access to the premises involves a number of steep stone steps.
Other Facilities	Parking is in Ham Lane alongside the workshop and studio.
